Become a key player in our logistics operations as a Material Handler in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials using various equipment and adhering to strict Safety standards. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, staging inventory, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring that materials are accurately placed and accessible for other warehouse functions. You will also play a role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility. Upholding all Safety regulations and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is critical to prevent accidents and ensure a secure workplace. This position demands significant physical stamina, involving frequent standing, walking, bending, and substantial Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Receive, unload, and verify inbound shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse to designated areas.
- Organize and maintain inventory in racking systems and floor locations.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by staging materials appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and correctly use all required PPE.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Material Handler role or similar warehouse position.
- Forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform demanding physical labor, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management practices.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements.
