Join our bustling warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska as a dedicated Material Handler! This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring materials are skillfully managed throughout their lifecycle within our facility. You'll be instrumental in moving, organizing, and staging goods for shipment or put-away. Key duties include loading/unloading vehicles, operating various types of material handling equipment, and contributing to a meticulously clean and orderly workspace. A strong emphasis on Safety and adherence to all company regulations is paramount. This position involves frequent Lifting of various items, requiring physical stamina and care. While prior experience with inventory systems is beneficial, we offer thorough training for all new hires. We are actively searching for individuals who are meticulous, excel in collaborative settings, and can thrive in a demanding Logistics environment. Your role is essential for our operational efficiency and ensuring client needs are met promptly. Mandatory use of designated PPE , such as safety vests, gloves, and hard hats, will be enforced based on job requirements. Regular inspections of machinery are required to guarantee optimal performance and promote overall Safety .
Responsibilities:
- Unload and load materials onto and off of trucks and trailers.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment.
- Transport materials between different warehouse zones including storage and dispatch.
- Participate in periodic inventory checks and stock management.
- Keep the warehouse premises tidy and well-organized.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any defects.
- Strictly follow all established safety procedures.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain seamless warehouse workflows.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent certification.
- Warehouse or Material Handler experience is advantageous.
- Capability for consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics principles.
- Dedication to workplace Safety and appropriate use of PPE .
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and in a team.
