Seeking an organized and proactive Receiving Clerk for our Seattle, Washington warehouse! In this critical role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring all goods are accurately accounted for, inspected, and processed into our inventory system. This position is vital to our overall logistics chain, maintaining accuracy and efficiency. We maintain a strong commitment to Safety, and all team members are required to follow strict Safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves some Lifting and requires excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Receive all incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders or packing lists.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label incoming goods appropriately.
- Stage received goods for distribution to appropriate departments or storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve receiving issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Follow all Safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a Receiving Clerk role or similar warehouse/inventory position.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 40 pounds).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
