Buying Customer Support Specialist
The Buying Customer Support Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to assist the day-to-day functions of our Supply Chain business. You will also have the opportunity to develop connections with other areas of the business.
What You'll Do
· Follow through on tracking promotional activity, exchanging information about out-of-stock / issue items, create and evaluate shipments report gaps as required.
· Ensure execution on all Seasonal programs weekly including program inventory tracking ensuring complete distribution of all product and ad hoc requirements.
· Examine, follow-up and address all issues relating to promotions including processing of firm shorts.
· Act as a liaison between the Planning Group/Business Unit and the Supply Chain Group to maintain clear exchange of information and positive connections.
· Ensure the completeness of firm distributions in the buying system.
· Assist team members on the day-to-day operations of the department.
What You'll Bring
Superior knowledge of MS Excel and Access applications; familiarity with SAP and JDA is an asset.
Essential experience in the Retail/Wholesale grocery/general merchandise business.
Robust evaluative and issue-solving capabilities, coupled with strong interaction and exchange of information skills (verbal and written) for diplomatic engagement with internal and external partners.
Capacity to work autonomously while assisting a team environment, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and maintain a detail-oriented approach.
Post-secondary education in Business, Economics, Marketing, or Industrial Engineering; bilingualism is advantageous.
