We're hiring a CPA to own full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and monthly financial statements for a fast-growing service business, while ensuring AP, GST filings and job costing are accurate and on time. You'll bring 5+ years of full cycle experience, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to work confidently across multiple systems in a collaborative finance team.

Role & Responsibilities- Lead and execute full cycle accounting and month-end close
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules)
- Complete reconciliations (bank/credit card/clearing accounts), journal entries, and accuracy checks
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) from an accounting perspective: coding, statement reviews, discrepancy resolution, and executing payments on time (EFT/cheque/credit card/PAD)
- Use AI tools to improve workflows and assist with reconciliations and redundant tasks.
- Prepare and file GST returns
- Calculate and process monthly sales commissions
- Assistance with AR
- Own job costing integrity and profitability reporting support
- Managing Vendor accounts, materials inventory, credit applications, etc.
- Work closely with Company Financial Controller, Company President and 2 other junior accountants on staff.
- Position will report to Financial Controller and company President.

- CPA in good standing (Canada) — required
- 5+ years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience
- Proven ownership of month-end close and monthly financial statements
- Strong reconciliation, organization, and deadline management skills
- Comfortable using AI tools, working across multiple systems and coordinating with a small finance team
- Able to work 100% in-office in Edmonton (this role is not remote or hybrid)

- $70,000–$80,000 salary, based on experience and company fit
- Full-time, permanent in-office position (Mon–Fri, 8 hours/day + 1 hour lunch)
