Role Summary
The Electrical Project Coordinator supports the execution of electrical construction projects through document control, coordination, and assistance in project management. Working closely with project managers, field teams, and external partners, this role plays an active part in keeping projects organized, compliant, and moving forward. It is a role that requires sound judgment, attention to detail, and accountability for assigned project responsibilities.

Key Impact / Purpose
- Supports day to day project delivery for assigned project managers, increasing their capacity while maintaining smooth execution.
- Ensures accurate project records, financial tracking, and process compliance to mitigate risk and protect project profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Document Control
- Manage and maintain project documentation and communications to support delivery, compliance, and risk control across the project lifecycle.
- Issue, track, and distribute contracts, drawings, RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and purchase orders for internal teams and external project partners.
- Prepare and manage project startup documentation, closeout packages, and owner & maintenance manuals.
- Open and manage ESA permits and inspections as required.
- Track project-specific health and safety training and compliance for field personnel.
- Support procurement and scheduling of materials and subcontractors.
Project Execution Support
- Assist in reviewing project specifications, drawings, and contracts to support accurate project execution within contractual obligations.
- Participate in site visits to support coordination and issue resolution.
- Proactively identify issues and escalate them as required to maintain schedules and project flow.
- Prepare pricing and change quotations for Project Manager review.
- Support project scheduling, tracking, and reporting in coordination with the Project Controls team.
- Facilitate the Substantial Completion posting process for completed projects in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements, as applicable.
Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate communication between internal teams and external project partners to ensure alignment on project specifications, schedules, and contractual and compliance requirements.
- Act as a central point of contact to support timely information flow and resolution of project issues.
- Participate in project, operations, and stakeholder meetings, documenting decisions, actions, and risks using standardized meeting and reporting tools.
Project Financial Support
- Set up project budgets in Procore based on awarded estimates, in collaboration with the project manager.
- Assist the Project Manager with tracking and managing project costs, change orders, invoices, and overall financial performance.
- Participate in monthly financial reviews and Work-in-Progress (WIP) forecasting with the project manager, finance, and leadership.
Must-haves:
- 1+ year of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related project-based environment (or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience).
- Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills in a fast-paced project environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships with internal teams and external project partners.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and general comfort working with computers and digital project management systems.

- Sound professional judgment when handling sensitive, time-critical, or high-impact project information.
- Field experience in an electrical or construction trade (e.g., apprentice, journeyperson, or foreperson).
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management,
- Experience coordinating electrical construction projects, including power distribution, lighting and controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and equipment.
- Experience with construction and estimating software such as Procore, Accubid, and Bluebeam.
This is a new position, and the salary range is between $50,000 - $60,000
