Key responsibilities and expectations:
- Accurately record financial transactions into accounting systems.
- Track invoices, payments and overdue accounts while maintaining strong vendor and client relationships.
- Investigate and recommend actions to resolve accounts payable/receivable discrepancies.
- Compile data and prepare reports as required by Financial Controller and management.
- Adhere to the high ethical standards, policies and procedures of Selkirk Signs.
- Represents Selkirk Signs positively and professionally in all interactions with our customers, internal and external.
Knowledge and Skills
- Educational background in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Administrative and customer service-related experience.
- Familiarity with the general principles of accounting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Office programs and spreadsheet applications.
- Excellent data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and planning skills; collaborative and team oriented.
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Self-directed, able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and use it to full advantage.
Additional information
- Wage Range: $ /hr, negotiable based on experience
- General Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday – Friday with a 1-hr lunch and 2-20 min breaks.
