Position: Communications Summer StudentStart Date: May 4, 2026Employment Status: Summer Student (up to 16 weeks)Reporting To: Communications Officer Union Affiliation: Non-unionPosting Date: February 3, 2026Closing Date February 24, 2026 at 4:30 pmContract Duration: May 4, 2026 – September 4, 2026Position Summary: Perth County is recruiting for a Communications Summer Student to assist assists in supporting communication initiatives to promote transparency, community engagement, and public awareness of the County's programs and services. Reporting to the Communications Officer, the student will help develop and share content across various platforms, including Perth County's website, social media channels and the development of print materials.
Primary Responsibilities:
Hourly Rate: $18.73

To be eligible for summer student employment, applicants must meet the Canada Summer Jobs program requirements:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period;
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
