BLS Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to fostering a positive learning environment. Duties

• Deliver lesson plans tailored in accordance with the certifying organization to Healthcare professionals and healthcare students.
• Facilitate classroom activities that promote active participation and critical thinking
• Assess student progress through tests, and formal evaluations
• Provide constructive feedback and support to encourage student growth
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum quality and instructional strategies
• Stay current with industry best practices and incorporate innovative teaching methods
• Manage administrative tasks such as attendance records and reporting requirements

Requirements

• Active BLS Provider (Heart and Stroke)
• Active BLS instructor status (Preferred but not mandatory)
• Licensed Nurse (LPN or RN), Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), ACP, and IMG (International Medical Graduates) with minimum 2 years clinical or relevant practice experience.
• Readiness to obtain instructor training if required.
• Driver license minimum GDL 5 is required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage learners effectively
• Relevant certifications or qualifications related to the subject matter (preferred)
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Passion for education and continuous professional development
• Prior experience with educational technology tools is a plus
• Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with flexibility and professionalism
• Readiness to in-classroom and on site visit class delivery.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
