About Us
We are a diversified group of companies operating in manufacturing, hospitality, and real estate, with combined annual revenues of approximately $35 million. Companies include PEI Preserve Company, Linkletter Welding, East Coast Hospitality Group, Kindred Spirits Inn & Cottage and Windsor Court Retirement Residence.
We are seeking an experienced Group Controller to oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis across multiple entities. This role reports directly to the Ownership group and works closely with operating partners in each business.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Consolidation
- Review monthly financial statements for multiple companies
- Prepare consolidated group financial reports
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closes
- Maintain general ledger and account reconciliations
Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process for all entities
- Work with company leaders to develop realistic revenue and expense budgets
- Monitor performance against budget and explain variances
- Update forecasts periodically based on actual performance
Financial Analysis
- Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare monthly financial dashboards including revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and debt
- Provide profitability analysis by company, division, or product line
- Assist ownership with financial modeling and investment analysis as required
Cash Flow & Banking
- Monitor and report weekly cash balances across all companies
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Monitor debt balances and loan payments
Accounting Oversight
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting staff across multiple companies
- Ensure proper accounting policies and internal controls are followed
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across entities
Year-End & Compliance
- Coordinate with external CPA firm on year-end reporting
- Assist with corporate tax preparation and filings
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Systems & Process Improvement
- Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes
- Work with QuickBooks Online, Sage, ERP systems, and Excel
Qualifications
Preferred:
- CPA designation (or near completion)
- Experience in Manufacturing or hospitality
Experience:
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience
- Experience with multi-entity organizations
- Experience preparing consolidated financial statements
- Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills
Skills:
- Strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
