What You'll Do
- Lead geotechnical engineering for mining projects, including pit slope stability, tailings storage, and underground support design.
- Conduct subsurface investigations and hazard assessments tailored to mining environments.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with mining regulations and industry codes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable mining solutions.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources for operational excellence.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement and innovation.
- Partner with clients to expand geotechnical services in mining.
- Bachelor's in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (geotechnical focus).
- 12+ years of geotechnical engineering experience in mining projects.
- Professional Engineering license in BC.
- Expertise in mining geotechnical practices, including slope stability, tailings design, and underground support.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical design software and modeling tools.
- Proven ability to manage complex mining projects and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Flexibility to travel to mining sites across BC and Canada.
- Lead geotechnical work on major mining projects.
