Outside Contractor Sales Representative – London and Southwestern Ontario
 
Position Summary:
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and managing a portfolio of contractor accounts within an assigned territory. This role combines customer engagement, sales strategy execution, and territory management to achieve targets. The Account Manager will proactively pursue new business opportunities through in-person visits, cold calling, and relationship-based selling. This position is ideal for a self-motivated, results-driven professional with integrity who thrives on building trust, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to the success of the contractor customer base.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven track record in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in the contractor or building materials industry
Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools
Knowledge of building materials and relevant market trends
Ability to work independently in a target-driven environment and meet ambitious sales quotas
Flexibility for occasional travel within the assigned territory
Valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities
Client & Territory Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for designated contractor accounts
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional service
Manage and prioritize territory visits to maximize sales opportunities
Sales Strategy & Business Development
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the assigned geographic region
Execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets
Upsell and cross-sell products and services within the existing client base
Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations for potential and existing clients
Operational Excellence & Reporting
Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and exceptional customer experiences
Represent the company professionally as a brand ambassador, upholding company values and standards
Continuous Improvement
Stay current on industry trends, product offerings, and market changes
Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and self-directed learning to maintain high product knowledge
 Compensation & Benefits
