Job Description:

What is the role?

Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Store Operations, the Regional Manager Corporate Store Operations is responsible for all activities and sales results in the territory of AB & SK. The Regional Manager Corporate Store Operations ensures that the stores of a designated geographical region make sales goals and attain profitability for the short and long term by developing a strategy and vision to ensure people development, maximum productivity and profitability, business growth, customer service and compliance with Company procedures. Builds and develops a high-performance District Management teams.

What will you do?

  • Manage and directs a territory (composed of several districts) to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Manage multiple districts within a region and adjusts sales goals and procedures as appropriate for each district
  • Leads district to ensure customer service model and initiative are in place, and stores' sales exceed budgets
  • Ensure territory expenses are within budget
  • Monitor sales, KPIs and margin of assigned territory's stores; develop plans with District Sales Manager and Franchise Business Consultants to improve results
  • Ensures incentive plans drive results
  • Administration – paperwork, reporting, and coordinating moves/relocations, etc.
  • Identify, communicate and implement business opportunities throughout the region to maximize sales, reduce damages, maintain proper animal care and achievement of UPT/Average Ring goals within the assigned region.
  • Ensure that the districts within the region have solid store operation routines that contribute to maximizing sales, efficiency and profit
  • Lead the retail business through effective collaboration and partnering across key functions: Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Retail Buying Team, Store Design and Retail Operations.
  • Ensure that all districts within the region maintain a brand appropriate look according to Company direction to maintain a high-quality shopping experience for each customer.
  • Oversee that succession plans for management and key positions are created throughout the Region to build retention and reduce turnover.
  • Maintain the high-quality customer service by providing the best shopping experience for each customer and ensuring that World Class Service is executed
  • Analyze reports, communicate appropriate information to District Managers to maximize business opportunities and improve district profit

What will you need to succeed?

Education and Experience

  • College level graduate (preferably from a Business, Retail or Marketing program) and/or extensive retail experience
  • Minimum of 7 years retail chain experience at a District or multi-store management level leading 20+ stores in a large retail chain; ideally gained in a progressive operations roles
  • Demonstrate strong retail visual merchandising skills
