Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo is seeking a Field Service Technician for the Calgary, Alberta region. You will independently troubleshoot and repair industry-related products, perform calibrations and preventative maintenance as scheduled, and handle first-line customer service issues. Additionally, the role includes leading efforts to modernize, upgrade, and convert customers' existing equipment while ensuring accurate documentation and service reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •  Troubleshoot, install and repair all Mettler Toledo Products within Business Area.
  •  Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.
  •  Complete installs, repairs, calibrations, customer training, performance verifications and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  •  Order, install, return parts and manage repair parts cycle time.
  •  Participate in Service sales opportunities and assists with promoting service products.
  •  Ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  •  Establish and maintain a close working relationship with Regional Service Leader, Senior FSTs and Support Specialists. 
  •  Complies with ISO & Measurement Canada standards when required by the customer.
  •  Responsible for resolving first line customer complaints and invoicing problems.
  •  Maintain productivity levels as determined by Regional Service Leader and in accordance with National standards.
  •  Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, facilitates environmental health and safety program.

What You Need to Succeed:
  • Minimum 2-year college diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation Technology, or Electrical, along with experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or installation within the industrial electronics technology sector is required.
  • Able to interpret/read technical drawings and work instructions for the various products.
  • Experience working within a customer facing service environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Production packaging environments in the food industry beneficial.
  • The ability to lift, transport and place test weights and equipment of up to 20 Kg (testing of equipment may require movement of up to 300Kg in 20 Kg increments).
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and provide on-call standby on a rotational basis.
  • Must possess valid driver's license and provide an Ontario Ministry of Transport driver's abstract.
  • Must be able to travel to the USA for training biannually.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
