Salary: Up to £38,000 prorated
Contract Term: Part Time
Hours: 24 hours, 3 days per week (9am - 5pm)

Your RoleWe are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a fixed contract. You will play a vital role in:
- Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents.
- Promoting the welfare of children placed with us across the West Midlands.
- Delivering high standards of service in line with fostering legislation and practice.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents.
- A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation in children's services.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- The ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will:
- Provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
- Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure their voices are heard in safeguarding and child protection matters.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Calm and composed under pressure, especially in emotionally challenging situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases.
- In possession of a full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
