• Deter, disrupt, and prevent illegal activity at U.S. borders.


• Enforce customs laws to safeguard national security.


• Promote legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activities.

1. A minimum of three (3) years full-time general work experience demonstrating ability to meet people needs or a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement; OR combination of both is also acceptable.


2. For GS-7 grade level:  a one-year specialized full-time work experience equivalent to next lower grade that includes performing physical inspections, utilizing observational techniques for criminal activities fraud etc. OR education substitution involving graduate-level coursework in relevant field;
