Salary: £29,348.80 - £30,368 Per Annum

Hours: 40 hours a week

The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-School is conveniently located between High Barnet Tube Station and New Barnet Mainline Station, just a 6-minute walk away. Your Role

This is a full-time position with various shift patterns between our operating hours of 7:30 am - 6:30 pm. Please note, we operate all year round, so this is not a term-time only role. To thrive in this position, you’ll need a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.

Your Responsibilities

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Assist management in providing the highest standard of compliance, care, and education for children.
  • Work closely with the Room Leader and other staff to ensure a smooth daily routine.
  • Contribute ideas to planning, ensuring children receive high-quality learning and development.
  • Liaise with nursery staff regarding children’s specific needs and requirements.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
  • Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures.
  • Meet health and safety and environmental health requirements.
  • Promote and ensure safeguarding standards for all children and adults in the setting.
Essential Criteria
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential
