You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team supporting the testing, production, and delivery of various avionics products. The group works closely with Test Engineering, Technical Design, Production, and Repair & Overhaul (R&O) teams to resolve technical issues, improve product performance, and meet customer delivery timelines.
As a Sustaining Product Engineer, you will report to the Montreal Operations Support Engineering Group within the Engineering R&D department. You will provide technical support for the testing and delivery of avionics products, actively participate in technical investigations and design issues, implement practical solutions, address component obsolescence, and support yield improvement initiatives in collaboration with Test Engineering, Technical Design, Production, and R&O teams.
As Sustaining Product Engineer, Your Key Responsibilities Include
Performing problem analysis, root cause identification, and solution validation using specialized test equipment;
Executing processes related to Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Change Impact Analyses (CIA);
Resolving hardware component obsolescence issues throughout the product lifecycle;
Generating accurate documentation including root cause analyses, procedures, and training materials;
Participating in cost estimation studies and electronic solution design;
Providing first-line technical support for production issues and defective units from R&O;
How To Excel In This Role
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a hardware electronics environment, preferably in high-tech industries;
Demonstrate strong analytical skills in technical investigation and manufacturing problem solving;
Have proven expertise with test equipment in environmental chambers;
Be dynamic, autonomous, organized, and possess strong interpersonal skills;
Be bilingual in French and English.
