Your role at GEI.
To support our continued growth, GEI is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer with approximately 3–5 years of experience to join our Land Development Infrastructure team in Ontario. In this role, you will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from residential and commercial developments to municipal infrastructure assignments. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers while taking increasing ownership of technical delivery, analysis, and client support.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Support the planning and delivery of water resources components for land development projects
Develop, run, and interpret hydrologic and hydraulic models
Complete stormwater management, drainage, and floodplain assessments
Assist in conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of water resources infrastructure
Prepare technical reports, design briefs, memos, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with internal teams, municipalities, and approval agencies
Provide support during permitting, tendering, and construction stages as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in water resources engineering or a related discipline
Approximately 3 to 5 years of relevant consulting or design experience
Registered or working toward P.Eng. designation
Proficiency with tools such as Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous learning
