O-HIVE is developing a next-generation 3D Spatial Vision-based Autonomous Factory Robot integrating:
LiDAR-based 3D spatial scanning
Sub-millimeter accuracy 3D reconstruction
AI-driven spatial perception
Autonomous robotic manipulation and navigation
Our platform leverages advanced 3D scanning, embedded systems, and robotics control to enable intelligent automation in manufacturing, construction, and industrial environments.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to lead the integration of:
Mechanical design
Embedded systems
Electronics hardware
Control systems
Spatial vision integration for robotic autonomy
You will work at the intersection of robotics, 3D vision, control engineering, and intelligent automation, contributing directly to the development of autonomous factory robots powered by spatial AI.
Key Responsibilities Mechanical System Design
Design and optimize robotic mechanical structures (end-effectors, actuators, housing, structural frames)
Develop precision assemblies aligned with sub-millimeter 3D spatial sensing
Perform tolerance analysis and mechanical validation
Prototype and iterate using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA, etc.)
Embedded Systems & Electronics
Design and review electronics schematics and PCB layouts
Select and integrate sensors (LiDAR, depth cameras, IMU, encoders)
Develop firmware for microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, ARM-based systems)
Interface motor drivers, actuators, and feedback sensors
Conduct system-level debugging (signal integrity, EMI, power stability)
Robotics Control & Debugging
Implement motor control systems (BLDC, servo, stepper)
Develop motion control algorithms (PID, feedforward, model-based control)
Integrate real-time control loops (RTOS preferred)
Debug mechanical-electrical-control interactions
Validate kinematics and dynamic behavior
Spatial Vision Integration
Integrate 3D spatial vision outputs into robotic control systems
Work with point cloud data, SLAM, and spatial mapping
Align LiDAR-based 3D scanning with robotic coordinate frames
Collaborate with AI team to enable:
Autonomous positioning
Object recognition
Path planning
Factory environment mapping
System Integration & Testing
Lead hardware bring-up and validation
Perform factory-level stress testing
Develop testing protocols for autonomy performance
Troubleshoot cross-domain system issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Mechatronics Engineering
Robotics
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
or related field
3+ years of experience in robotics or automation systems
Strong CAD design experience
Experience in embedded firmware development (C/C++)
Hands-on PCB schematic understanding
Experience with motor control systems
Strong debugging skills (hardware + software)
Familiarity with ROS/ROS2
Understanding of coordinate transformations and kinematics
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LiDAR or 3D vision systems
Experience with industrial robotics or AGVs/AMRs
Knowledge of SLAM and spatial perception algorithms
Experience with CAN, UART, SPI, I2C communication protocols
Familiarity with AI integration into robotic systems
Experience in factory automation environments
Understanding of safety standards for industrial robots
