We are seeking an organized and accurate Inventory Clerk for our Kansas City, Missouri warehouse. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies. This role is crucial for the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics operations, ensuring that stock levels are up-to-date and reliable. You will be instrumental in upholding the integrity of our warehouse management system.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts of inventory items.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories and stock audits.
- Operate inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
- Ensure proper organization and labeling of inventory in storage locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests, as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; some college coursework in business or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to wear required PPE.
