About the Role

As a Junior Kitchen Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Kitchen Manager and leading our talented chefs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the daily operations of the kitchen.
  • Stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
  • Monitoring guest experiences and developing action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Conducting daily briefings and managing stock control.
  • Ensuring food presentation meets our high standards.
  • Delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning.
  • Maintaining food hygiene standards and health & safety compliance.

You'll be a role model for the Butlin’s unique way of working, inspiring your team to deliver unforgettable experiences for our guests. With the opportunity to lead in our main buffet restaurant, you’ll help create memorable moments for families enjoying their half-board dining package.

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience in a similar role. Here’s what we need from you:

  • Experience managing large volume turnarounds (we serve up to 3000 guests per service!).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • A hardworking and determined attitude, always seeking better ways to deliver our brand standards.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic personality, ready to build relationships with team members and leaders.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • Confidence in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen.
  • Ability to manage margins, control costs, and uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Working Conditions

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days , totaling 40 hours , including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
