Location: Becker School, Batley

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About Our School

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Supporting the class team in creating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
  • Supervising pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to foster interaction and drive positive learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Possess a suitable qualification at degree level.
  • Have previous successful teaching experience, preferably in KS1/2.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
  • Commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
