Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect shipments for damages and report discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Tag and stage goods for put-away or further processing.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Mandatory use of required PPE.
This role involves significant physical activity, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to all safety guidelines and correct PPE usage is paramount.
