We are hiring a reliable Receiving Clerk for our facility in Portland, Oregon. This position is vital to our Logistics operations, ensuring the smooth intake of all incoming goods. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, meticulously checking items against order forms, inspecting for any damage, and properly storing inventory. A strong focus on workplace Safety and the diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is paramount. This role requires physical strength and stamina, as it involves significant Lifting and moving of products. The ideal candidate is highly organized, pays close attention to detail, and works effectively within a team to maintain efficient Logistics flow. Prior experience in a warehouse or Logistics setting is preferred, but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damages and report any issues promptly.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Stage and transport received items to their designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Support other Logistics functions as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of goods.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or Logistics role is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
