Our Baltimore, Maryland location is looking for energetic Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team! As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. This role is essential to our logistics and fulfillment operations, ensuring timely and correct order processing. You'll work with a scanner to locate and verify items, and then carefully pack them for transit. Maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is a key requirement of this position. This role demands focus, speed, and a dedication to quality. Successful candidates will be able to work efficiently in a busy environment and consistently meet performance targets. The ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Meet established productivity and quality goals.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during picking and packing.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as receiving and put-away.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous picking and packing experience is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Capable of occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following PPE guidelines.
