We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse operations in Los Angeles, California. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in the movement and organization of goods within our facility, ensuring a smooth flow of products through our logistics chain. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be tasked with moving raw materials, finished goods, and other items throughout the warehouse. A critical component of this role is adhering to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of yourself and your colleagues. This includes the mandatory use of appropriate PPE. The ability to lift heavy objects, up to 70 pounds, is essential for this position. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers.
- Move materials from receiving to storage areas and production lines.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment.
- Proven ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and inventory principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
