We are seeking individuals who are accurate, efficient, and committed to ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanner systems, and then carefully packing them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our distribution process, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work at a steady pace. Safety is a top priority; you must consistently adhere to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure working environment. The job involves significant movement throughout the warehouse, including walking, standing, and reaching, as well as regular lifting of products. We value teamwork and collaboration, and you will work closely with other warehouse associates to meet daily fulfillment goals. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Label packages accurately for transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and picking/packing area.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order sheets and product labels.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
