Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas or production lines.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as required.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Certification to operate specific equipment (e.g., forklift) may be required or preferred.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory flow.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
