Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Houston, Texas? We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious individuals to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount to ensuring the efficient and secure handling of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent operating skills, and is committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production areas, or loading docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Follow traffic patterns and safety guidelines within the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Contribute to overall team productivity and efficiency in logistics operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
