Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Virginia Beach, Virginia? We are seeking a qualified individual to join our growing logistics team. This position requires a proficient operator who prioritizes Safety and efficiency in all tasks. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, sort, load, and unload materials within our warehouse. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the accuracy of our inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and containers.
- Accurately stack and store inventory in designated locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory control activities and cycle counts.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to support logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall team performance.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and Safety standards.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed.
- A proactive approach to maintaining a secure and efficient workplace.
