Join our dedicated team as a Material Handler at our state-of-the-art facility in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our logistics network. This position involves the physical handling of materials, supporting production and shipping operations, and ensuring a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your contribution is vital to the success of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the facility.
- Operate manual material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Load finished goods onto trucks for shipment.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, orderly, and hazard-free.
- Support production and shipping teams as needed.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with the proper organization and Storage of inventory to maximize space and accessibility within the logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic inventory control.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and operate different types of equipment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workspace.
