The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. This role is critical to the efficient operation of our warehouse and requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure that all materials are handled correctly and that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse environment and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks.
- Move, pack, and sort materials.
- Store materials in the correct locations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
