Become a critical part of our logistics network in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Material Handler! This hands-on role involves the movement and organization of goods within our facility. You will operate various types of equipment to ensure the smooth flow of materials, supporting both receiving and shipping operations. Safety is our top priority, and we expect all employees to adhere to strict Safety guidelines and utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and conveyors.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move and stack inventory within the warehouse to optimize space.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Properly use all required PPE, including gloves and safety glasses.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental goals and maintain efficient logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
- Experience operating basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and Safety procedures accurately.
- Team player with good communication skills.
