We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our distribution center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this critical role, you will oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and a strong focus on safety. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, optimize workflows, and maintain high standards for inventory management and order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve performance goals.
- Develop and implement efficient operational procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safety-first culture.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts, accuracy checks, and stock rotation.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with other departments and external logistics partners.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for improvement.
- Conduct regular safety audits and enforce the correct use of PPE.
- Resolve operational issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Assist in developing operational budgets and managing resources.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a warehouse environment.
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols and experience enforcing PPE usage.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
