We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our facility in Boise, Idaho. This critical role ensures the efficient movement and organization of goods within our logistics hub. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, receiving and stocking inventory, and preparing orders for shipment. A focus on safety and accuracy is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and finished goods.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to transport items.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock checks.
- Organize warehouse space to maximize efficiency and safety.
- Process shipping and receiving documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
