Join our dedicated team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a Material Handler! This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the movement and organization of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for handling a variety of items, ensuring they are correctly stored, transferred, and prepared for shipping. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment is a significant advantage. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to our efficient logistics flow.
Responsibilities:
- Move, sort, and stack materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Ensure materials are stored in designated locations accurately.
- Assist in inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate various manual and powered material handling equipment safely.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Be aware of Lifting requirements and follow proper techniques.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety standards.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
