Join our vibrant e-commerce fulfillment center in the heart of New York City, New York, as a Picker/Packer! In this fast-paced role, you will be instrumental in accurately retrieving items from inventory and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. Your precision and speed are key to our logistics success. You'll work within a dynamic team environment, utilizing technology to ensure every order is perfect. We are deeply committed to a culture of Safety and provide all necessary training, including comprehensive instruction on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage and ensure quality.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Process orders accurately through our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for carrier pickup.
- Conduct final quality checks to ensure order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Strictly adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet and exceed daily fulfillment targets.
- Support the overall efficiency of our urban logistics network.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability of Lifting up to 35 pounds regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain speed in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Understanding of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with logistics software is a plus.
