We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse facility. Your tasks will include operating forklifts and other equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and organizing inventory to support our logistics operations. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and you will be expected to follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items, up to 60 pounds, regularly. You will play a key part in ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and accurately, contributing directly to the success of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to maintain an orderly and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and put-away.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Ensure all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Proven ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
