Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is looking for dedicated Picker/Packers to join our warehouse team. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves using a scanner and preparing them for shipment by packing them carefully. This position requires a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and ensuring the quality of packed goods. We emphasize a safe working environment, and all team members must follow safety procedures diligently, including the consistent use of appropriate PPE. The role involves standing and walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders based on pick lists or scanner directions.
- Pack items safely and securely for shipping, ensuring product protection.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to maintain order accuracy.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order statuses in real-time.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Meet individual and team productivity targets.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods when necessary.
- Handle merchandise with care to prevent damage.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist in discrepancy resolution.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and pick sheets.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for the duration of the shift.
- Capable of occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is beneficial.
