We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced logistics operations in San Jose, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is critical to the efficiency of our warehouse and requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively. You will work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely loading and unloading of trucks, efficient storage of goods, and accurate order picking. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and material handling is essential. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and all forklift operators are expected to strictly follow safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Regular equipment inspections and maintenance are also a key part of this role to ensure operational safety and longevity. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and trailers.
- Moving, stacking, and organizing inventory in designated areas.
- Performing routine inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assisting with order picking and put-away processes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Supporting overall logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Proven ability to safely operate various types of forklifts.
- Experience with material handling and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
