Become a vital part of our team as a Material Handler in Provo, Utah. This role is essential for the smooth movement of materials throughout our facility, ensuring that production and shipping processes operate without interruption. You will be responsible for safely transporting raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to their designated locations. This involves operating various types of material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Accuracy in handling and tracking materials is critical. You will work closely with other departments to coordinate material flow and maintain efficient logistics. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. This position involves substantial physical activity, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of materials. Experience with warehouse operations and a focus on safety are key.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods to designated areas.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and production lines.
- Accurately track and document material movement using inventory systems.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of all required PPE.
- Coordinate with production and shipping departments to meet material needs.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is required. Valid forklift certification is highly desirable. Ability to perform strenuous tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 75 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse logistics and material flow. Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. A strong emphasis on the use of PPE is non-negotiable. This role offers a stable career path in the logistics and materials management sector.
