We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is essential for ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will be responsible for efficiently picking items from inventory shelves based on order sheets and then carefully packing them for shipment. Accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are paramount in this position. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses good manual dexterity, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using order lists or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack products securely and appropriately for shipping, selecting suitable packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and warehouse area.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve picking and packing productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail are crucial.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills.
