We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure architecture, enterprise system design, virtualization, and DevOps practices.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong hands-on technical capabilities across Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid cloud, and cloud-native modernization initiatives. The Senior Azure Solutions Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, cost-effective, and compliant cloud environments aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards such as FedRAMP.
*Duties*
* Lead the architecture and deployment of Microsoft Azure infrastructure solutions utilizing IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud models.
* Design scalable and secure Azure environments leveraging services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Networking.
* Architect Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
* Develop secure cloud architectures incorporating Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and zero-trust security models.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines to automate deployments and enforce governance standards.
* Design and implement containerized and microservices-based architectures using Docker, AKS, RESTful APIs, and event-driven services.
* Establish CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms to support automated build, release, monitoring, and operational workflows.
* Architect hybrid connectivity solutions using Azure VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, VNet peering, private endpoints, and network security best practices.
* Design high-availability and disaster recovery strategies utilizing Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and geo-redundant services.
* Ensure adherence to security and compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, NIST, CIS benchmarks, and enterprise governance standards.
* Provide technical leadership during project planning phases and mentor engineering teams on Azure best practices and cloud-native architecture patterns.
* Engage with business and executive stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Azure solutions.
*Experience*
* Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale Microsoft Azure solutions in enterprise or regulated environments.
* Deep expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, governance, monitoring, and security services.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, identity federation, and enterprise identity design.
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
* Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
* Strong background designing secure architectures aligned with FedRAMP, NIST, or similar regulatory frameworks.
* Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
* Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and enterprise database platforms.
* Deep understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native system design principles.
* Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems in Azure environments.
* Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and executive audiences.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
* Experience implementing Azure Landing Zones at scale
* Experience supporting federal or highly regulated industry environments

Pay: $131,514.50 - $158,383.05 per year
