Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled individuals to join our team as Customs and Border Protection Officers. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Maintain the integrity of our nation's borders by preventing the illegal entry of people and goods into the United States.
• Evaluate information from various sources to determine admissibility for entry into the country.
• Pursue enforcement action against smugglers, contraband transporters, fugitives, criminals who otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.

In addition to these responsibilities you will also be expected:

• To take an active part in promoting awareness about CBP’s mission through outreach programs with local communities education institutions youth groups media outlets businesses labor unions etc., ,
  
• To foster relationships between CBP employees federal law enforcement agencies state/local law enforcement agencies other government organizations ,

  Hire Requirements
  
  The officer should have at least one (1) year of specialized full-time work experience equivalent to at least GS-5 level including performing physical inspections evaluating facts applying Federal State or local laws regulations making determinations in compliance with laws regulations leading arrest seizure fines penalties based findings,
  Or alternatively qualification could meet specifying bachelor degree Superior Academic Achievement.")
