• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents and possessions.


• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance techniques.


• Analyze tracks, marks, and other physical evidence to determine illegal entry points.
