The Customs and Border Protection Officer role is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in safeguarding the nation.
Job Description:
This position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. Inspectors will conduct thorough examinations of individuals and conveyances to determine admissibility into the United States.
- Enforce federal laws related to customs, immigration, and agriculture.
- Detect smuggling activities including narcotics, currency, or other contraband.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections performed.
Preset duties also include becoming familiar with the rights afforded under Title 5 USC Section 552a (Privacy Act) as it relates to passengers' information,citizenship requirements, , testifying in court if necessary,
dealing with personal emergencies such as searches for missing children or pets
to do your duty without disregarding fairness.
