Job Description
The Border Patrol Agent works under the auspices of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within its law enforcement department at an elite level. CBP safeguards America's borders while protecting economic prosperity by ensuring adherence to customs laws.
Responsibilities:
- Detecting individuals suspected of violating immigration and custom laws through inspections of documents and possessions for citizenship verification or violations.
- Preventing undocumented noncitizens from crossing border regions with covert surveillance operations using infrared scopes for nighttime tracking.
