Be part of a dynamic team working to safeguard the nation's economic prosperity and protect American interests. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and international shipping.

• A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws.
• Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats.

The above experience will be applied in connection with making rapid judgments regarding import/export regulations enforcement. You must have U.S residency for three years out of five.

Citizenship is required as well as formal training which includes basic law enforcement skills Immigration law Firearms training Examination physical fitness candidates attending southern border Miami Puerto Rico locations must attend an online Spanish program additional requirements are covered under Public Law Law Enforcement Retirement provisions do not apply if currently serving on duty under Titles 5 CFR.
