Maintenance Automation Technician
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or his designee, perform a variety of duties related to the general maintenance and repair of machines, equipment, vehicles, facilities and property.
Provide Support in the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment and assist with major overhauls, etc. Equipment includes but not limited to heating and air conditioning units, lift trucks, production machinery and company owned property and vehicles.
Perform general building and facilities maintenance such as repair doors and floors, patch roof, repair and install guardrails, general plumbing tasks, clean drains, and other maintenance tasks as assigned.
Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair an array of electrical and mechanical sensors used in automated machinery.
Troubleshoots integrally related hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electronic control systems to isolate malfunctions in electronic controls and servo systems including computer numerical controls, programmable controllers, mini-computers, micro-processors, and other industrial controls and amplifiers.
Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in industrial manufacturing to include maintaining electronic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Skill in conducting and evaluating computer diagnostic tests or attempting to reproduce the problem on a PLC test system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years on the job experience; OR
Associate degree in Industrial Electronics
Proficient with Basic Math skills and Electrical theory
Advanced PC computing skills
Electrical Troubleshooting skills; IE Transformers, power supplies, AC inverters, Motion controls, relay logic, sensors, high and low voltage electronics, single and three-phase power systems, including motors, switches, relays and contactors.
Preferred but not RequiredBe a licensed electrician in the state of Wisconsin
5 or more years working in a manufacturing or process environment
Experience in a high volume automotive manufacturing environment
